What challenges were you facing before implementing xCORE?

We were strengthening our global hiring efforts, but the biggest barrier was 'language.' Many candidates were unfamiliar with Japanese, and they couldn't demonstrate their true abilities in technical interviews. Interpreter-assisted interviews were time-consuming, and we often lost excellent candidates to competitors.

2

What specific problems were occurring?

For example, there was an excellent engineer from India who could only demonstrate half of their true abilities during the Japanese interview due to nervousness. They ended up going to another company, and we later heard they were extremely talented... We had many such 'misses.'

How did you learn about xCORE?

I saw the xCORE booth at an exhibition and became interested in the multilingual AI interview feature. The fact that candidates could respond in their native language and have it translated in real-time was exactly the solution we were looking for.

4

What was the deciding factor for implementation?

Honestly, we initially wondered, 'Can AI really evaluate interviews?' But when we tried it with 10 candidates in a trial, the evaluation results were very accurate and almost matched our own impressions.

What changes have you seen since implementation?

The biggest change is that the number of applicants tripled. Talented people who had given up thinking 'I can't apply because I don't speak Japanese' started applying. Interview time was also cut in half, significantly reducing the burden on recruiters.

6

What are your future plans?

xCORE has become an indispensable tool for our global hiring. We plan to expand its use to new graduate and mid-career hiring as well. We want AI and humans to work together to achieve better hiring.
